Alamo Argentina Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2010 and 31-Dec-2012

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (transaction fee of 1.75% applies).

The balance will be secured directly by the supplier on arrival.

Additional Driver Policy
Additional drivers fee is 3.00 USD per driver per day.

Age Requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years for all car groups. Maximum rental age is 75 years. Young drivers surcharge is 3.00 USD per day for drivers under 25 years of age.

Cross Border Policy
Unrestricted driving within Argentina. If client wishes to cross border into Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay, a permit must be purchased in advance from the rental station. Each permit cost is 80.00 USD. One permit is for traveling into Chile only. The other permit is for traveling into Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay. If the client is traveling into Chile, Uruguay, Brazil & Paraguay, client must purchase at least 48 hours in advance. Currently customs is not permitting foreigners to cross into Bolivia with the rental vehicle. When client purchases the permit, Alamo will need a copy of renter's passport and driver's license. No one way rentals are allowed between countries. There may be a charge for roadside assistance when traveling outside of Argentina. Off-road driving is not allowed.

Delivery / Collection
Delivery and Collection not available. Pick-up and drop off service available during operating hour. Additional cost applied for service-$5 USD for 0-5 KM, $10 USD for 6-15 KM and service not available beyond 15 KM.

Insurance Excess
Collision Damage Waiver limits the customers' financial responsibility for loss or damage of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents is 3420.00 USD. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting, please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies. If you would like to reduce or remove your excess responsibility please ask the rental staff when collecting your vehicle about additional products that are on offer .

License Requirements
Full and Valid Driver's License from country of origin written in roman alphabet. If not, International drivers licensee required.

One Way Rentals
Available within Argentina, refer to dropchart.

Out of Hours Policy
After hours servce is available at some locations at a cost of $25.00 USD. Client must pre-arrange pick up or return of vehicle by booking in advance. Refer to After hours chart.

Payment Policy
Passport and Major Credit Card required. Credit cards accepted are Visa, Master Card and American Express. OTTO accepted, MCO not accepted. Vouchers must have pre-approved credit.Cash is accepted as final payment, but customer must still have credit card for authorization. An authorization will be placed on credit card upon rental of vehicle. The authorization amount will vary from $1995-$3420 USD, depending on car class. $1995 USD for car groups ECMN (Economy), ECMR (Economy), CCMR (Compact), CDMR (Compact)$2280 USD for car groups ICMR (Intermediate), FCMR (Full Size)$3420 USD for car groups PCMR(Premium), PDMR (Premium), IFMR (Intermediate 4X4)), FFMR (Full Size), FPMR (Full Size Pick-Up), FWMR (Full Size Estate)& FVMR (Full Size Pax Van). Citations: If the customer receives a citation or traffic violation fine while in the rental vehicle, the location will charge customers credit card for the cost of the citation.

Refuelling Policy
Alamo/National will supply you a car with a full tank of petrol. Customers must return the car with a full tank of petrol or refuelling charges of 5.00 USD plus refuelling costs will apply.

Roadside Assistance
24 Hour roadside assistance in provided by contacting the rental location. Phone number is printed on contract. In case of an accident, customer must complete a police report at time of accident/incident and report to Alamo immediately. Additional charges may apply for towing vehicle back to rental location/city or if roadside assistance is needed outside of Argentina.

Special Equipment
Infant/Child seats: $5 USD per day plus tax with a maximum charge of $25.00 USD per rental plus tax. Infants seats will accomodate infants weighing 2-10 kilos (4.5-22lbs), Child/Toddler seats will accommodate a child/toddler weighing 10-15 kilos (22-33lbs).

Surcharges
12% Airport fee (Contracted rates may include the Airport fee. Refer to the rate sheet.)

Tax
21% VAT for all location except Ushuaia (Contracted rates may include the VAT. Refer to the rate sheet.)

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
