Car rental company Carpools is taking a leap of faith and making a car reservation for a friend’s family, who need to be transported to hospital.
Carpools CEO Nick Barrie said the car rental company was inspired by the death of a family member in the ACT.
“I was shocked and saddened when I saw how many people had come through the door,” Mr Barrie told news.com,au.
He said the family needed to be driven to a hospital.
“We want to get them home safely,” Mr Barrrie said.
Mr Barrie described the car as a “gift” from God.
“This is an incredible opportunity for people to be able to see the family, and for them to get a car,” he said.
Carpool’s app for car rental services, Carpool, is now available in Australia.
“The app is available for both Android and iOS devices and has been downloaded over 6 million times,” Mr Bracken said.
He said it had been a long journey, with a lot of thought.
“Our whole family is really thankful that the app has worked and we have had a positive impact for all the people who have used it,” Mr Barys said.
“When you think of how much time has gone into this and how hard it is for people, it’s been quite a long road.”
Mr Barriew said it was important to remember that Carpoolers car was being used for the car.
“Carpool is not the only company doing this.
There are others doing it and I would say there’s been a very large amount of people using Carpool as a service,” he added.”
I think that it’s a great service for families to use.”
