CAR RENTALS is paying $1 million to the Trump National Golf Club to buy a parking lot at the club’s new Trump National Doral golf course, according to documents filed with state regulators.
The purchase price includes $400,000 in security fees and a $300,000 lease agreement, according the documents filed on Thursday with the Mississippi Coastal Commission.
The purchase price also includes $300 million in financing that was secured with a promissory note from Trump, the documents said.
In December, the Trump Organization filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and the company filed for bankruptcy protection in April.
The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In October, Trump announced plans to build a luxury golf resort and hotel in Doral.
The project is in its infancy, but the project has drawn criticism for Trump’s decision to build on an oceanfront property that had previously hosted a Trump National golf course and the presidential mansion.
The resort is scheduled to open in 2020.
