Lyft is currently looking for the next CEO to take the company public, according to a report from Recode.
The company is looking to replace Chief Executive Officer and founder and CEO John Zimmer.
In a memo to employees, Lyft’s CEO John Meyer said he is looking forward to “sharing more of my thoughts with you.”
Meyer said that he wants to bring more diversity and inclusion into Lyft’s leadership team, and he also wants to make Lyft’s platform more accessible to more people.
Lyft was founded in 2015 by Zimmer, who has led the ride-hailing service since 2014.
He recently became Uber’s CEO.
Meyer told Recode that he is excited to “bring the next generation of leaders to the company” and that he plans to share more about that plan with employees in the coming weeks.
Meyer added that he would be willing to share “more details about the leadership changes that we are making at Lyft” in the future.
