A new Uber competitor, Orbitz, is offering car rental services to customers of its competitors, according to a new report.
Orbitz’s app currently allows customers to book cars for the ride-sharing company, and customers can also rent cars from its own Uber, Grab, and Lyft apps, according a report from The Next Weeds.
While Orbitz doesn’t have a comparable business model to the Uber, Uber and Lyft companies, the report said that Orbitz provides its customers with “an alternative to using a car rental service.”
Orbitz has a strong presence in the travel industry, according the report, as its apps and websites are used by more than 30 million customers.
The report said Orbitz is also a leader in car rental app development.
Orbitzy also has partnerships with other travel companies including Expedia and Lyft.
Orbitzi, which has about 4 million monthly active users, has been growing steadily since its launch last summer, according its own report.
The company currently operates in 30 countries.
OrbitZ recently introduced an iPhone app, Orbitzi App, that it said will be the “ultimate destination app for car rental.”
The company is looking to expand into other travel areas, including hotels and airlines, as well as other services.
